A sparkling new ThingLink feature roundup
Hi folks. We hope you’re enjoying the new site. We’re hard at work making sure that the everything runs smoothly and that you have a excellent time creating and discovering new content with ThingLink. On top of that we’ve found time to develop a number of new features which we know you’ll like.
More ThingLink Apps for Facebook
First off, if you’re a ThingLink user, you now have access to unlimited
more ThingLink Apps on Facebook. It’s our way of saying we love our users. Check out our business page to find out how to get even more out of ThingLink.
Some users have had trouble finding the ThingLink App button since we redesigned the site but it’s definitely there. Look for Share above your image and click it. The symbol furthest to the left is your ThingLink App for Facebook button. Click it and you’re on your way.
Grab your personal customized vanity URL
Nicknames are now available to everyone. That means that instead of having a long technical profile URL such as http://www.thinglink.com/user/129489423384444929, you can now choose one such as http://www.thinglink.com/mostawesomedudeever.
Go to your settings and create one before it gets taken. I checked – http://www.thinglink.com/mostawesomedudeever is still available.
New and updated Image Tags!
We have significantly improved our SoundCloud tag and it’s better than ever. The same goes for the new Spotify and Rdio tags that allow you to feature virtually any song on your images.
The best new Image Tag is however our ThingLink tag. This tag allows you to take any user profile on ThingLink and tag it on any image effectively making profile tagging on images possible anywhere online. The tag also features new images by that user so you know what she or he has created. Clicking on them takes you back to ThingLink.com to see the image live with what it’s been tagged with.
Check them out by hovering the image below!
The technical stuff
We’ve updated our servers to make everything run much faster when browsing images on ThingLink.com and on any other site. If you ThingLink enabled your site or blog with the use of our embed code, we recommend that you update it with the new one.
You can find your personal code here. No worries if you don’t, your site will still work smoothly.
That’s the beef on our new features this week. If you have any questions or concerns, please get in touch and we’ll help you out.
