THINGLINK INTRODUCES VERIFIED ACCOUNTS AND 9+ APP RATING FOR EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

In the past three months over 100 school districts in the US have contacted us and expressed interest in a school or district level account on ThingLink. We have collected lots of feedback from teachers, tech coaches, and ThingLink Educators across the country, and are now proud to announce verified accounts for educational organisations and a 9+ rating for our iOS app.

A verified organization on ThingLink serves three goals. First, verification is used to establish authenticity of an organization. Once this is done, organization gets an invitation code that it can use to invite its members to ThingLink. A verified organization will also get an access for managing teacher, student, and group accounts from one dashboard. Third, a verified organization account gives schools and districts  easy access to the variety of interactive media resources that teachers and students in different groups have created.

In the past 12 months ThingLink has become one of the the most popular free web tools for educators and the most popular mobile app for creating interactive images in school or on field trips with or without wireless access. There are a multitude of uses for ThingLink in education.  Teachers can create media rich visual resources packed with content to engage students in deep learning experiences. Students can create a ThingLink to present knowledge and ideas or to document learning. A shared “Steam” enables students and teachers to collaborate on images beyond the classroom walls. Interactive images can be embedded on websites or shared with the class and accessed by inquisitive students at any time.
