We invite you to join our upcoming ThingLink 360/VR in Education Bootcamp with host Temple Mitchell and special guest, Kathy Schrock, for a powerful day of learning on May 12, 2018, at UMass Dartmouth’s Kaput Center for Research and Innovation. We hope teams of innovative educators will join us to explore the powerful possibilities of shifting learning from consumption to creation with interactive 360 images. We’re excited to be bringing a set of Ricoh Theta 360 cameras for our use in capturing content during the Bootcamp, and we are thrilled to have Kathy Schrock lead the way! We hope to work with innovative educators in the area to build expertise in using interactive 360 images in education.

Wonder Rooms 2.0 – Immersive PD at Puccini’s Birthplace

In February, Italian educators participated in an immersive workshop designed and facilitated by Astrid Hulsebosch and Licia Landi during the Festival della Didattica Digitale in Lucca, Tuscany. The goal of this innovative professional development for educators was to “learn by doing”, so the educators started the session at the birthplace of Giacomo Puccini to immerse themselves in the learning. After 90 minutes in the field capturing learning on the go, the educators returned to a workspace in the Casa del Boia to create a ThingLink 360 tour of Puccini’s birthplace.

Last week we got the opportunity to team up with the Ricoh Corporation at FETC to showcase the combined power of the Ricoh Theta line of 360 cameras with ThingLink 360/VR.  There was a lot of excitement from the steady stream of educators who stopped by our booth.  We enjoyed great conversations and ideas that evolved around great ways to leverage the power of these tools for teaching and learning.
