One of the big reasons we blog here on the ThingLink Blog for Education is to provide our community with ideas and inspiration for using ThingLink for teaching and learning. We celebrate the leadership of ThingLink Certified Educators and truly appreciate the strength that can be found within this community of learners. In case you missed it, here are some recent highlights.
Every Tuesday for the past 6-months we have featured an interactive image created by a member of our education community. Our goal is to inspire educators with great ideas and illustrate connections to learning goals. We love to promote our users, so we have designed a mini-contest to encourage you to submit a 360/VR image for consideration as our featured Image of the Week and earn a chance to select a professional 360 image for our library!
A total solar eclipse will cross the United States today, starting just after 10 a.m. PT in Oregon and ending just before 3 p.m. in South Carolina. Depending on your viewing location, the eclipse will last between 1 and about 2 1/2 minutes. Those gathering outdoors to catch a glimpse of this rare occurrence need to prepare for viewing. The ThingLink above is a curated collection of information and resources for making the most of the moment. Be sure to check out directions for capturing the eclipse with the camera on your phone!
